The Chamber Music Adelaide Chrysalis Award cultivates sustainable professional careers for emerging SA chamber artists through targeted support and development opportunities.
The Vanya Quartet were recently selected for the Australian Festival of Chamber Music Pathways Program, representing a significant milestone for South Australian chamber music. CMA has chosen to direct our 2025 Chrysalis Award to support this ensemble at a pivotal career moment; leveraging the national selection process that identified the emerging ensemble, and providing a unique opportunity to amplify SA chamber music on a national stage.
The Vanya Quartet demonstrates exceptional dedication to chamber music excellence and represents the signature strengths that define the character of arts in South Australia. Their selection for the Australian Festival of Chamber Music Pathways Program positions them to benefit meaningfully from the professional development support that the Chrysalis Award provides:
A professional development budget to use at their discretion
A paid performance opportunity as part of On The Terrace
A recording opportunity
Professional photographs and website profile page on the CMA site, and
As CMA members, they will also benefit from our member services including promotion through the concert diary, access to our ongoing strategic programs as well as grant support sessions where required.
